We are located in a resort called Hacienda Pinilla, a wonderful 4,500-acre nature sanctuary, with lots of plant and animal biodiversity. It does not even feel like a resort, it’s never crowded and you get to see more animals and birds than people!
The biodiversity here is tremendous, hundreds of types of birds, howler monkeys, iguanas, Tamandua ant eaters, deer, coyotes, and more. We have golf carts that our guests use around the resort that make seeing biodiversity easy.
Even though Hacienda Pinilla does not feel like a resort, it has all the 5-star resort amenities you can imagine – 3 private white-sand beaches, 12 restaurants and bars, equestrian center, a world class Beach Club, championship golf course, tennis and pickleball courts, a mini market, the JW Marriott, and more.
Our vacations are different because we offer guests everything that Hacienda Pinilla has, steps away from our Pura Vida House villa, yet we also offer many of the typical Costa Rica activities outside the resort, such a festivals and rodeos, eating at local “Soda’s”, visiting local schools, setting up soccer pick-up games with the locals, and visiting local hand pottery towns.
This experiential luxury travel experience is something we like for all our guests to experience. You can be in a resort anywhere in the world, but what makes a vacation truly special is experiencing first-hand the local culture, interacting with local people, and eating the local food.
