It’s been a bit of time since we’ve mentioned the great fresh. local and organic food we eat and serve our guests at Pura Vida House in the beautuful Pampa of Paso Hondo, Guanacaste. Here’s just a taste of what we’re serving!

Fresh jocotes (or Hawaiian plums) off one of the many trees planted by Jorge’s father, an agronomist on the property of Pura Vida House and Finca Pura Vida.

Fresh salad with veggies from Costa Rica’s Cenral Valley and seasoned with lemon juice from the yard. A free-range chicken born and raise by our next door neighbor here in Paso Hondo with chick peas and rice.

Papayas picked fresh from our trees and from our neighbor’s

A beautiful spread of Costa Rican tropical fruits from Paso Hondo and Orotina, Costa Rican in the Central Valley (and maybe a few grapes from up North snuck in there too!).  Avacado, pineapple, mango, papaya and more!

This is our neighbor Juan, he and his family, like most in Paso Hondo, raise their own chickens – free range, local and chemical free–these are happy hens!

Come and dine with us any time at Pura Vida House in Costa Rica!
